S - Factor Retail Development
PHC has the knowledge, skills and practical experience to improve the short and long term performance of retail operations.
As part of our expertise, we have developed and use the PHC S Factor Process, illustrated below, to identify solutions throughout an organization and to help retailers to develop practical strategies to achieve their objectives.
A brief explanation of the elements of the S-Factor Process:

Success This takes into account the objectives – financial and others – of the owners, customers, staff, suppliers and all of the stakeholders that need to be achieved to ensure the organisation’s survival and future prosperity
The following headings are then used to systematically analyse the issues as the basis of developing practical short and longer term plans to achieve the agreed objectives
Statement – corporate identity, shop front, graphics, displays
Systems – administrative and other procedures
Security – physical and stock loss
Site – location, maintenance, fixtures and fittings, landlord negotiations
Supply Chain – suppliers and logistics
Sales – performance against budget, previous years and competitors
Staff – numbers, experience, training
Stock – layout, presentation, stock-turn, seasonality
